Future Research

It is hard to decide what should be listed as future research rather than ongoing research. None the less, I listed below different subjects that either I am very eager to learn or I have some ideas that may work nicely. I must note that most of these ideas come from our discussions with my friends, students, and co-authors. Therefore, technically many of them could be merely their ideas:

• Quadratic assignment problem in a manufacturing plant.
• Projections of confidence intervals.
• A progressive finite representation approach to minimax optimization.
• Media planning problem.
• Nonlinear freight costs.
• A new global optimization solver for constrained problems.
