Past Research
In the past have I worked on several different subjects ranging from production planning and control to nonlinear optimization. I was quite lucky, since I had the chance to work with excellent researchers from different parts of the world. Below is a list of subjects, on which I had worked and published. Though, I do not currently work on some of them, I am open to go back, especially when, someone leads me to an interesting problem. I have no doubt that there are still many exciting problems out there within the scope of these subjects:
- Hierarchical production planning.
- Capacitated lot sizing and loading.
- Global optimization.
- Heuristics and search methods.
- Joint replenishment.
- Generalized fractional programming.
- Linear and nonlinear complementarity.
- Equilibrium constrained optimization.
- Smooth approximation of max function.
- Sample path method and its applications.
I also worked in (or been funded by) the following research projects:
- Decision Support Tools for Supply Chain Management, NC, Raleigh, USA.
- Mathematical Programs with Equilibrium Constraints for Network Economics, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
- Hong Kong RGC Earmarked Grants, Hong Kong, China.
