portrait of Ivan I. Shishkin by Ivan Nikolaevich Kramskoy
I saw this in one of my Art History textbooks and was mesmerized by it. His face is so life-like, so detailed, the brush work so intricate... I looked for it at the State Russian Museum, but couldn't find it. (Ivan Shishkin was also a painter, for those who didn't know.)
