Let me introduce myself.

Embracing Literature

I have a passion for literature and there is no train ride without a book for me. I am especially interested in German and Russian literature. I do not prefer any specific genre or period of literature, but try to embrace them all and read them with their historical context in mind.

I think that literature is a door to the world. Reading will always be enriching - might it be controversy or painful. It is exciting to follow certain discourses in the written format and to also improve your abilities to apply language.

The heart of darkness by Conrad

Conrad's novel deals with the encountering of two cultures during colonization of Africa. The reader is placed into the deepest woods of the Congo and the discoveries from there will stay also after the book has been closed for the last time.

This roman deals with the remains of Auschwitz. While the journey finding the reason for his friend's death, the protagonist discovers some overwhelming facts about life after Auschwitz.
